Growing up female has felt like there was always a target on my back. Too afraid to not be taken seriously by males (to be called bossy, eccentric, or prudish) I buried parts of my identity to gain their "respect". These components of my identity have been neglected and consequently starved, premature comparatively to the rest of me. Using a mannequin's mold I have constructed three bodies with sculpted animal skulls: the badger, the moose, and the owl. These pieces act as a form of self reflection and warning to females of all ages. There is no strength in denying who you are. True strength is standing across the table and saying, "you are wrong".
